I converted my mountain bike into a completely electric one. Everything about this build was custom, including a battery made from scratch. Its a super fun way to comute to class for sure, with a lot of acceleration. It caps out at around 25 MPH. The motor is specced at 1500 watts and 48 volts. See the below video for a demenstration.
