Gumball Terrarium
I converted a gumball machine into a home fit for any reptile. This was a super fun and involved project, complete with a functioning dispensing mechanism. To seperate the top portion, I designed and 3D printed a base and sealed it with silicone. The middle lock rod was removed, and I moddified the coin mechanism to not require quarters. I even routed the heater's power cable through the old coin funnel. Lastly, the top is removable with the help of some velcro strips. Below is a video of the dispenser in action:
